Maa Import is a family owned company, established by two brothers in 2002. Shekhor Deb Jay and Sumon Deb started their business venture in petroleum industry, owning and operating 11 stations in Metro Detroit.  After 10 years in petroleum Industry, they started their own Data and Atm Processing (National Atm LLC) and later they were heavily involved in Commercial real Estates (Deb Management Group LLC) along with owning many restaurants and Banquet Halls around Metro Detroit.

In 2015, they opened a 10.000sf supermarket (Desi Market) in Warren to serve quality food products to Bangladeshi and Indian Community.  After struggling with small wholesalers in Michigan to full fill demand and quality of products for their Super Market, Later they have decided to start importing. In January 2017, they launched Maa Import with 15,000sf warehouse and later they acquire another 30,000sf warehouse in Warren, Michigan.
