Shekhor Deb Jay and Sumon Deb Sam at very young age, they bought their first gas station in Pontiac, Michigan in 2001. After working extreme hard and servicing Pontiac community, later they bought 11 more gas station surround Metro Detroit. While running 11 stations, they have decided to invest multi million dollar ATM data processing company out of Chicago.

In 2012, they started heavily invested in residential and commercial properties in Metro Detroit and specially in Warren area. Later 2015, they accuried 25,000 sf of shopping complex in Warren and wishing to lease out the vacant shopping complex. After one year of searching for tenant, they have decided to open up a 10,000sf Bangladeshi, Indian, and Pakistani supermarket along with 300 people capacity hall. While running supermarket and dealing with small wholesalers in Metro Detroit not to full fill their product quality and demand.

In 2018 they have decided to get in to import business to full fill their supermarket needs. Maa Import it became commonly known to its customers, outgrew its first warehouse and moved only a few miles away to a 25,000 square foot facility in Warren Michigan. This facility boasted higher ceilings and more loading docks. Also, at this location, Maa Import opened a Cash & Carry providing small grocery store and supermarket a place to purchase groceries much cheaper. The business began to rapidly grow and later we added 15,000sf cold storage facility to full fill all frozen food demand. Now Maa Import Warren facility has capacity to hold 1200 tons frozen goods.

Under the ownership and management of Jay and Sam, Maa Imports more products year after year. In 2023, they purchased an additional warehouse half mile away from cold storage facility adding another 25,000 square feet of space. With two warehouses totaling over 50,000 square feet of storage, Jay, Sam and their 20 employees are ready to serve all your grocery and storage needs.
